Question by gagag w: AAA auto Insurance policy ?

I’m currently having auto insurance with AAA and my bro is going to get his car soon. If I can get both of our cars insured under 1 plan, would that be cheaper ?

thanks

Best answer:

Answer by dick car guy
You have not had much experience with insurance companies, your bro needs to get a policy of his own in any case, if you add him in your policy, and he has an accident, (even if it someone else fault ) your rates will go up and the accident will be on your record. And to put it on your policy, you would have to be on his title and listed as a driver, If he lives at your address to be on your policy he would have to be listed on your car as a driver, or excluded, but any way you slice it there will be no savings. The insurance companies have all the advantages now, And you do not want to do anything remotely fraudulent, you end up losing much more in the long run. Let your bro get his own policy, and that way you are separate from anything he does.

Question by Pancho: auto insurance policy renewal help?

i have been paying 44$ a month for my insurance and now i received a bill of of over 100$. It says it is for policy renewal and i dont understand it. why did my insurance go up. i have proggresive if that helps. thanks

Best answer:

Answer by Jerry H
Gonna need way more information. My recommendation is that you make an appointment to visit with your local independent insurance agent. Hopefully you purchased the policy from him/her in the first place and not online. Sure is nice to talk to a real person who is genuinely concerned with your situation and not a “company” flunky. And don’t believe it when the online companies say they will compare your rates to other companies. They can only compare your rate to the other companies BASE rate, not what you might eventually end up with after discounts. And when they say “we will save an avg of x dollars, that is over their base rate (highest) not your current companies rate. Go see a real person in person.

Question by desertrat: Is there a way to find the name of an insurance company from the policy number alone? Auto insurance.?

My daughter was rear-ended and pushed into another car. She was very upset and got all of the information from the other drivers except the name of the insurance company of the driver at fault. Calls are not returned. The insurance company of the car in front of her is no help at all. How can we find out the name of the insurance company with just the policy number, besides calling every company in the book? Any help is greatly appreciated.
No one else’s car was damaged and the other drivers left. Police refused to come out at that point, so there is no police report.
Policy begins with A0(or O)Z (or 2) and has 12 more digits following.
We are in AZ. So far Allstate, State Farm, 21st Century, and Geico have been eliminated.
ok, the policy number in question is:
A0Z 268 047Z37 705
The Z’s may be 2′s and the first 0 maybe an O.
If anyone in AZ, USA has a policy number format like this, could you please share the name of your insurance company? I just need the name of the company to get started. Thanks!

Best answer:

Answer by tracymoo2002
Use the incident number from the police report and contact the police department to get guidance on this. The other driver may not have given correct information, but they can be tracked down and prosecuted if so…. Good luck
